Charlotte, N.C. (Oct. 23, 2017) – Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, headquartered in Charlotte since 2000 and recently recognized as one of Nation’s Restaurant News’ “Next 20,” will open its 44th location nationwide in Jacksonville, Fla., Nov. 1. Firebirds worked closely with Charlotte-based architectural and design firm starrdesign to create a newly revamped restaurant design that puts an energetic twist on the traditional grill.
“For our new Jacksonville location, we have gone with a different look, switching to an open concept and using more contemporary materials like lighter-colored woods, charred black brick and exposed steel,” said CEO Mark Eason. “General Manager John McAnallen is looking forward to introducing the new design and our bold new menu items to the Jacksonville community and welcoming them time and time again for meals with family and friends, business luncheons, date nights or special occasions.”
While still offering guests the warm, polished and inviting atmosphere for which the restaurant is known, the Jacksonville location’s new open layout means the entry, bar and lounge flow freely into the interior dining areas. This gives guests a view of Firebirds’ signature exhibition kitchen, wood-fired grill and prominent brick fireplace from any seat in the restaurant. Additional updates, including floor-to-ceiling windows, abstract artwork, warm wooden overhangs, new pops of teal to complement the restaurant’s red and orange and an inviting enclosable patio, invigorate one of Charlotte’s favorite national restaurants.
In addition to its new design, Firebirds Jacksonville will offer guests new menu items with unique flavors, including Ancho Strip Steak, Wood Grilled Jumbo Mayport Shrimp, Honey Rosemary Fried Chicken Sandwich, Steak Frites, Honey Whiskey BBQ Burger, Chicken Fried Flounder, Seared Tuna Superfood Salad and more. Firebirds’ signature items, such as Slow Roasted Prime Rib, Aged Ribeye, Wood Grilled Salmon and more, will also be available.
Firebirds will be open Sunday – Thursday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Reservations for lunch or dinner may be made by via Firebirds’ website, OpenTable app or by calling the restaurant at 904-831-3950.
The restaurant offers banquet services, catering, gift cards and online ordering for ToGo.
